This Niles and New Lisbon Railway Company Stock Certificate is un-issued from the 1870s and is certificate #86. The Niles and New Lisbon ran between Ohio towns Niles and New Lisbon. It was completed in 1869 for the purpose of moving coal from neighboring mines. The railway ran for over 100 years. It was controlled by the Erie Railway and fully absorbed it in 1941. It ran through the 1970s as segments slowly retired. The 35 mile route is now mostly intact as a bike path.

A Niles and New Lisbon stock certificate issued to and signed by James Fisk Jr sold for almost $10,000 at auction in 2020.
