Description Extended Information

Noramco Inc. traces its roots back to 1893 and the Fox Head Brewery in Waukesha WI.  During the 1950's is was thought that the company had ties to notorious Chicago gangsters. Sam Giancana held interest in the company and Al Capone associate Tony Accardo was listed as a salesman.  In the 1960's the company decided to diversify and bought a brewery in Nicaragua, a hotel in Jamaica, and a company called Illinois Felt.  The company changed it's name to Noramco (North American Consolidated) in 1962.  The brewery business was sold to G. Heileman and the rest of the company folded.  Issued 1966
