This North American Light & Power Company was issued in the 1940s and is hand signed. North American Light & Power was formed by Clement Studebaker, Jr in South Bend, Indiana in 1916. Clement was the son of the famous Studebaker automobile manufacturer. The company was subsidiary of the North American Company which was broken up by the Supreme Court in 1946 (just prior to this certificate's issue).
