This Norwich & Worcester Railroad Company Stock Certificate was issued in 1935. Chartered in 1832 in Connecticut and 1833 in Massachusetts, the two companies merged in 1836 to build a line connecting the two cities. They later became part of the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad.
