Founded as an instrument development lab in 1946. Their first factory was a 1000 sq. ft. store front near the University of Chicago. It's founders, Jim Schoke, John Kuranz and Tom Mitchell all previously worked on the Manhattan Project at MetLab at the University during WWII. They were a distributor of radiation detection equipment widely known as Geiger Counters. Stock certificate issued in the 1960s.
