The Pittsburgh, Fort Wayne and Chicago Railraod was founded in 1856 to consolidate the Fort Wayne and Chicago, the Ohio and Indiana, and the Ohio and Pennsylvania Railroads.  The company went bankrupt in 1859 and was reorganized as the Pittsburgh, Fort Wayne and Chicago Railway.  The company was taken over by the Pennsylvania Company in 1871.  The PFW&C became part of Conrail in 1976.  Issued in the 1950s.  Vignette of a steam train at the depot.
