This Pittsburgh Plate Glass Company Stock Certificate was issued in 1948. Founded in 1883 by Captain John Baptiste Ford and John Pitcairn, Jr. Based in Creighton, PA and was the first commercially successful manufacturer of plate glass in the U.S. The changed their name to PPG Industries in 1968.
