This rare Proprietors of Boston Pier or the Long Wharf Stock Certificate was issued in 1924 and is hand-signed by the company president. The Long Wharf in Boston dates back to 1710 to accommodate the growing maritime trade in the city. Over the years it underwent several renovations and expansion and served as an important resource in the Revolutionary War providing military supplies and the movement of troops. It became one of the busiest wharves in the nation during the 19th Century. It is now a historic landmark and popular tourism and recreation center.
