The Royal Dutch Petroleum Company (N.V. Koninklijke Nederlandsche Petroleum Maatschappij) later merged with Shell to become one of the largest corporations in the world. At one point, the new company equated to over 3/4 of the Netherlands GDP. Issued in the 1970s. This share features a nice vignette of an oil refinery.
