This rare Texanna Oil & Refining Oil Company Gold Bond certificate was issued in 1922 and is hand-signed by the company vice president. Coupon 2 - 30 are still attached. Texanna was based out of Fort Worth, Texas.

It's possible Texanna was a bit a pyramid scheme. They would buy up defunct oil companies and require shareholders to buy stock in the new company when the new company had little to no value. So the investor lost their principal in the original company and then doubled-down on the newly restructured company which was essentially worthless to begin with.
