This The American Crayon Company stock certificate was issued in the 1940s. The vignette features "Old Faithful", the famous geyser in Yellowstone.

The American Crayon Company dates its history back to 1890 through the merger of several other crayon and chalk companies. Based out of Sandusky, Ohio they moved from chalk to wax-based crayons in the early 1900s. They became one of the premier suppliers of school supplies in the nation. They operated in Sandusky until it finally closed its doors in 2002 as most of the operations moved elsewhere but they are still made the Dixon Ticonderoga Company.
