B.F. Goodrich was founded in Akron OH in 1870 as a rubber company. It was added to the Dow Jones in 1916. Although Famous for it's tires, it also produced aircraft end engine components. The company was sold off in pieces with it's exit from the tire business in 1988 when it sold to Michelin.

This common stock certificate for 100 shares was issued in the 1970’s and represents one of America’s largest tire and rubber manufacturing companies.

Added to the Dow Jones Industrial Average October 4, 1916.
