The Chase Manhattan Corporation was the holding company for The Chase Manhattan Bank.  The Chase Manhattan Bank was the result of a merger between the Manhattan Company founded by Aaron Burr and Chase National Bank, of which the Rockefeller Family was the largest shareholder.  David Rockefeller is the Chairman of the Board on this stock certificate.  The Chase Manhattan Corp. now operates as a subsidiary of JPMorgan Chase & Co. as Chase Bank. This stock certificate is an excellent historic piece that will be cherished by any financial professional or enthusiast.  Issued in the 1960s-70s.The Vignette features the portrait of Salmon Chase.
