The Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad Company started in 1847 as the Rock Island and La Salle Railroad but was changed to the Chicago and Rock Island Railroad in 1851. The railway stretched from Minneapolis MN in the north, Galveston TX in the south, Denver CO in the West, and Chicago IL in the east. The Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad Company Stock Certificate was issued in 1948. Great vignette of a modern locomotive on the left and an old steam locomotive on the right.
