Description Extended Information

Founded in 1872 as the Jones Brothers Tea Company, The Grand Union Company was one of the largest grocery chains in the U.S. by 1930. Grand Union's store mascot was Abraham Lincoln wearing a deli apron. Eventually branded as Grand Union Family Markets it was folded into Tops Markets in 2012. This beautiful stock certificate was issued in the 1970s.

The vignette features a woman next to a farmer's field and railroad tracks with different types of produce and groceries.
