The Hartford Rayon Corp. was originally formed as the Belamose Corporation in 1923.  The company produced artificial fabrics including silk, wool, and cotton.  Belamose changed it's name to The Hartford Rayon Corp. in 1935.  The company contributed to the United States war effort during WWII by manufacturing rayon parachutes.  Issued in 1947.
