This Kansas City, Fort Scott and Memphis Railway Company stock certificate was unissued and was from 190_.  The railway operated what was known as the "Memphis Route" and was the result of several mergers of different lines after 20 years of construction in 1888.  The competed with the St. Louis and San Francisco Railway until the two companies finally merged in 1896 and was formally purchased in 1928. Nice vignette of a steam engines in the depot.
