This stock certificate from The Meriden and Cromwell Rail Road Company is from the 1880s and is unissued. They were a Connecticut rail road that operated from 1883 to 1888. In 1888 their name changed to Meriden, Waterbury & Connecticut River Railroad until they were purchased by the New York & New England Railroad. The original line ran from Meriden, CT to Cromwell, CT. along the Connecticut River.

This unissued stock certifcate is from the 1880s and features a stunning etching of a steam engine in the vignette.
