This New Boston Bank and Trust Company Stock Certificate was issued in 1970 and is hand-signed by the Company President. This stock certificate is a first issue dated Jan 19, 1970 - the date the bank was established. They were purchased by the Capitol Bank and Trust Company in 1976 after the bank failed and required government financial assistance. In 1976 the FDIC had to step in as liquidator of the bank under its emergency provision sidestepping public notices.
