This incredible piece of history is a great illustration of how America was built.  The Niagara River Bridge Company was formed to build a bridge over the Niagara River. People invested in the company and the company profited from the bridge once built.  The vignette on this piece features a bridge over the river with Niagara Falls in the background.  The view of the falls would put this bridge in the same location as the original suspension bridge that was built in 1855.   Unissued certificate from the 1880's.
