Founded in 1846, The Pennsylvania Railroad Company was once the largest railroad company in the nation by traffic and the largest company in the world. The Pennsylvania Railroad Company holds the record for continuous dividend payouts paying dividends for over 100 consecutive years. In 1968 the company merged with the New York Central and the combined company filed for bankruptcy two years later. The Pennsylvania Railroad Company is one of the four railroads from the Monopoly board game.

This beautiful stock certificate was issued in the 1930’s- 50s and is hand signed. The banner in the vignette has the words Virtue Liberty, and Independence.
