This Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington Railroad Company $10,000 Gold Bond was issued in 1964 and is hand-signed. It was a 131 mile line which ran from Philadelphia to Washington and a main component of the Pennsylvania Railroad formed in 1902. They became co-owner of the Washington Terminal in 1907 and grew to over 700 miles of track. They were eventually sold to Amtrak and Conrail.
