This scarce The Phoenixville, Valley Forge & Strafford Electric Railway Gold Bond Certificate was issued in 1910 and is hand-signed by the company president. Coupons 26 thru 60 are still attached to this gorgeous bond. The Electric line was to run from Phoenixville to Strafford and through Valley Forge but the connection Valley Forge was the only completed. When the line hit Valley Forge, it came to an abrupt halt. Unknown to them, the land required to continue was now destined be State Park land. The line stopped operations in 1923.
