The Warren Railroad Company was chartered in New Jersey in 1851 to build a line to connect the Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Railroad to the Central Railroad of New Jersey.  The line was complete in 1858 and leased to the Delaware, Lackawanna & Western.  During this time the Delaware, Lackawanna & Western paid the dividend of the Warren's stock.  In 1945 the Warren Railroad was officially bought by the Delaware, Lackawanna & Western.  Unissued share from the 1850s.  Pre Civil War.  Great vignette of a distant train traveling next to a lake with a small home in the background.
