United Drug began operations in Boston and manufactured and distributed drugs in their stores called Rexall. Soon they would have over 20,000 drug stores throughout the U.S. including Liggett Drug Stores. In 1944 United Drug changed its name to the Rexall Drug Company. Issued in 1935, this rare stock certificate is more than 75 years old. Vignette features a mortar and pestle. Printed by the American Bank Note Company. Features Louis K. Liggett, founder, as president.
