This rare trade tax receipt was issued in 1933 for 25 shares of General Motors from Carlisle, Mellick & Co to E.F. Hutton & Co. Features a State of NY and 2 Treasury stock transfer stamps on the front. Carlisle, Mellick & Co was founded in 1908 and was one of the largest odd-lot houses on Wall Street. This trade would have occurred on the NYSE.
