This rare piece was given out to members of E.F. Hutton by the American Stock Exchange. The framed picture has an etching of the American Stock Exchange building and the text reads, "This is to Certify That E.F. Hutton & Company Inc. Is a regular member organization of the American Stock Exchange, Inc. An institution which provides a securities market place where high standards of honor and integrity prevail and which promotes and maintain just and equitable principles of trade and business."

Features the printed signature of the Chairman of the American Stock Exchange Arthur Levitt, Jr. (1978 - 1989). Levitt was the 25th and longest serving Chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

E.F. Hutton & Co. was founded in 1904 by Edward Hutton. The Company became a house hold name in the 1970's and 1980s with the tag line "When E.F. Hutton talks, people listen" E.F. Hutton later merged with Shearson Lehman to become Shearson Lehman Hutton.
