This Snake Coin Bank was created by Wells Fargo for clients to celebrate the Year of the Snake in 2013. The Snake is the 6th of 12 animals of the Chinese zodiac sign which run on a 12 year cycle. According to legend a great race was held to cross a river between 12 animals. The snake hitched a ride on the horse's hoof and jumped out in front of him to cross the finish line ahead of the horse, placing 6th in the race. The zodiac animals are often related to people's personality traits and birthdays. The Snake is associated with intelligence but a bit conniving.

Each features the Wells Fargo on the bottom with Chinese Characters.
