This rare trade ticket from the 1880s was from the Office of F.J. Kennedy who was a stock broker on the Boston Stock Exchange. They were located in the heart of the financial district at No. 11 State Street which was down the street from the Bost Stock Exchange which was located at the Merchants Exchange Building on State Street during the 1880s. Trade ticket is double sided.

The Boston Stock Exchange was a regional stock exchanged founded in 1834. By the 1880s, the Boston Exchange was booming. Membership grew from 13 members at inception to 150 where it was capped for a long time. Railroad trading volume dominated during the time period at the the railroads expanded west. The Boston Stock Exchange was bought by NASDAQ in 2007.
