Hornblower & Weeks was founded by Henry Hornblower and John Weeks in 1888. Hornblower & Weeks would become one of the largest members of the New York Stock Exchange with over 90 retail offices throughout the world.

The company went through many mergers throughout the 1970s. They eventually merged with Shearson Loeb Rhoades and the Hornblower name was retired. The subsequent firm was purchased by American Express in 1981 to form Shearson/American Express and later Shearson Lehman/ American Express. .

This trade ticket was issued in 1926 by Hornblower & Weeks at the New York Curb Exchange and features one State of New York and one Federal IRS stock transfer stamp.
