This Colorado Fuel and Iron Company Stock Certificate was issued in 1902 and is hand signed. Colorado Fuel and Iron was founded in 1892 and was the first vertically integrated steel mill west of the Mississippi. John D. Rockefeller Jr and George Jay Gould took over in 1903 with it's main steel mill south of Pueblo, CO. They are known as Rocky Mountain Steel Mills.

They were a member of the Dow Jones from 1901 t0 1912.
