Emmett Kelly, Jr., was the son of the circus clown Emmett Kelly. He joint the Navy during WW II and served in Iwo Jima and Okinawa and later worked for the railroad. After his father retired, he performed his first act as Weary Willie. He formed his own circus in the '70s and even performed at the White House.
