This J.C. Penney Company $10,000 Bond was issued in 1973. JCPenney (NYSE: JCP) was founded in Longmont Colorado as a dry goods store and moved it's headquarters to Salt Lake City Utah in 1909 to be closer to the railroads. JCPenney's is one of the most recognized names in American retail. Vignette features a high rise scene on the left and a horse drawn carriage on the left in front of the "Golden Rule Store".
