The history on this piece is vague but here's what we think this is: The Association of Customers Brokers (ACB) was formed in New York and only members of the New York Stock Exchange and the American Stock Exchange could be members (later the Midwest Stock Exchange). It was a trade association for brokers who listed securities and also the only groups who could belong to the National Association of Investor's Brokers or NAIB. Very little can be found about either of these groups as they were self-regulated and not registered Under the SEC Maloney Act of 1934.
Trade associations like this were formed to provide an ethical code of conduct for its members but have no regulatory authority.
Condition is excellent, 5.5" x 5.5" x 1.25", weights just over 1 lbs. Real gold accents. Would be great for paperclips etc on your desk!
