This rare set of blazer buttons was especially made for AG Edwards by Ben Silver. Each features the AG Edwards crest flanked by a bull and bear in high relief. Ben Silver has been a maker of fine Blazer Buttons since the 1960s making buttons for many Presidents, Universities and Companies.

A.G. Edwards was founded in 1887 by Albert Gallatin Edwards in St. Louis as the first brokerage in St. Louis to trade on the NYSE in 1898. The would become one of the first publicly traded brokerage houses in 1971. In 2007 they were acquired by Wachovia and the A.G. Edward brand was retired. Wachovia was subsequently purchased by Wells Fargo after the sub-prime mortgage collapse in 2008.
