Description

This ultra rare Retail Information Memorandum was developed by Merrill Lynch for the 1992 Primary Public Offering of News Corporation Limited. It was intended for Internal Use Only making this a rare find. This large and colorful fold-out booklet details the inner workings of the News Corp deal and the financial highlights and talking points for Merrill Lynch brokers looking to prospect clients for the offering. The back has an area for Merrill Lynch investment bankers to list potential clients and the size of the placement. The front features an awesome illustration of Matt Groening's Bart Simpson from the famed cartoon The Simpsons.

News Corp was founded by Rupert Murdoch in 1980 in Australia, his home country. With the purchase of 20th Century Fox in 1982 they would eventually become the world's largest media company. This offering was for 9 million ADSs for listing on the NYSE so shares could trade in the U.S. They would eventually incorporate in Delaware with their headquarters in New York and would be publicly traded on the Nasdaq.

Awesome piece of News Corp, the Simpsons and Merrill Lynch history! Would look great framed!
