Pillsbury's history dates back to 1869 when Charles A Pillsbury and John S Pillsbury became one of the first companies to use steel rollers to process grain. Their famous Pillsbury Doughboy mascot made his debut in 1965 and is still a symbol of the company today. They were purchased by General Mills in 2001 and the brand was later sold to Smuckers.
