The Snohomish Valley Railway was a line that never materialized and instead investors were swindled out of their investment. The line was planned to run from Snohomish, Washington to Monroe and then connect in Seattle with electric street cars and then to Lowell. The gold bonds were cancelled and called in however some agents, namely Charles Meeker kept selling them to investors in Europe. These investors lost their money.

This $1000 gold bond was issued by The Snohomish Valley Railway Company in 1906. In near pristine condition will all 60 coupons still attached. Wonderful vignette including a woman walking through a carved tunnel through a huge sequoia tree. The tree is located nearby the town of Snohomish, Washington. It was hollowed out in the 1890s by the Snohomish Bicycle club.
