This very rare Yates Ranch Oil & Royalties stock certificate was issued in 1928 and is hand-signed company president. Leo F. Reardon. They were based out of Fort Worth, Texas. The Yates Oilfield was discovered by Ira G. Yates in 1926, on his ranch in southeast Pecos County, making Ira and his wife Ann Yates instant millionaires. Production was so great it increased from 45,000 barrels in 1926 to over 29 million in 1929 at its peak. Even to this day, the Yates Ranch discovery is considered one of the greatest oil fields ever found in the U.S.

The Yates Ranch Oil & Royalties Company boasted Ira G Yates "Billion Dollar Lane", where Total Gauged Production Now Crowds Million Barrels Per Day to attract investors and "America's Greatest Oilwell".

This is a very rare stock certificate.
Condition: as pictured; slight edge tears on the left. Wil frame nicely.
