B.F. Goodrich was founded in Akron OH in 1870 as a rubber company. It was added to the Dow Jones in 1916. Although Famous for its tires, it also produced aircraft end engine components. The company was sold off in pieces with its exit from the tire business in 1988 when it sold to Michelin.

This sinking fund debenture certificate issued in the 1970’s represents on of America’s largest tire and rubber manufacturing companies.
