Once the largest toy retailer in the world, Toys "R" Us recently filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and shuttered their store throughout the world. A staple for children since 1948, Toys "R" Us the future of famous store now seems to be over.

The rare Toys "R" Us Certificate is a specimen piece in near pristine condition. The vignette features the famous cartoon mascot, Geoffrey the Giraffe and it was printed in 1981. Great piece for toy collectors and stock certificate collectors alike.

Specimen stock certificates are certificates that were archived by printers and the company as perfect examples of the company’s stock issue. Specimen’s can be identified by their “specimen” stamp, stamped holes spelling “specimen”, or they are often issued with a serial number of a series of zeros. Often, they are also issued with no serial number at all. Specimens can also represent a design that was never issued.
